I was 6, getting ready to start first grade. DH was 10 and had been invited to go with his neighbors. His "overprotective" parents said no.

1969... my mom graduated from high school that year... and my dad was in Vietnam at the time.

I wasn't around yet. It was the year my husband was born. His Father served in Vietnam. He has all these old home made movies of life on base and when Bob Hope came through with the USO. They are very cool to watch.

Between sophomore and junior year of high school - the last year my dad farmed. I was not really tuned into Woodstock at the time.
