Where's Niki been? Did I miss something?

Last post I read from her had something in her signature line about getting rid of all her Coturnix except a few she'll keep as pets. It's a shame, because she's the most knowledgeable person I've talked to when it comes to those silly birds.

I really hope she's feeling better soon. Here's

for Niki...

Well, birds take a lot of work and sometimes when you have a lot going on, you feel it is better to get rid of them. I got rid of all mine for quite a long while and am just now getting back to them. It will be a shame to not have her here to talk to though.
As for it being a girl, my new grandsons mama would disagree. She lost so much weight from being sick while having him that I believe she is actually thinner now than she was before.

I love the old wives tales...I was sickest with my boys and not with my girls.

It's smart of her, IMHO, to weed out her birds. The first baby is a real shocker to the system and can occupy all your time.

I wish her a happy and healthy 9 months though, and hope that she returns soon because her knowledge on the subject is invaluable.

I was wondering as well. That's is unfortunate. I guess you can certainly glow green, not just "glow" from being pregnant.

Hope you feel better soon!

I was wondering too; haven't heard from her in a while either. (I was really sick with DD too

speaking of old's wives tales...anyne heard that one that if you double your child's height at 2 yrs...that is how tall they will be when an adult?

If this one is true then my daughter who just turned 2 will be 6 feet 2 inches as an adult.....I am only 5 feet 4 inches....LOL

I did that with both of my children and it was more accurate with my son than with my daughter. He's right on target but she's a few inches shorter than it said she would be.
