One of our black sex link hens laid her first three eggs in an inconspicuous spot in our yard last week. One was very small, a medium and then a large one...all with one, two and then three yolks. But my question is, when should we expect more? It has been five days since she laid the last ones, she should be producing more , yes? Is something wrong? Any input?

I would think you could expect one soon. Now, are you sure she has not moved her laying place? If she laid an egg with 3 yolks, it may take a few days for the yolks to move down....I don't remember just how that works. Our sex-links will lay a 2 yolker one day and then lay another egg the next.. Does she walk/look ok? Hope she did not hurt herself with a large egg.

She has probably started another nest somewhere. When you find the new nest, place some golf balls in it. That way she will not think something is stealing all of her eggs.
