I love it when all the chicks hide in the hen's feathers. There are 9 of them in there somewhere, her feathers move independently of the rest of her when they are climbing up in her.
Where's Waldo?

All fluffed out...are those some extra legs?

A short clip of the mysteriously moving feathers of mama hen

Finally, just a cute clip of the clan

I'd love to get a picture of several chicks peeking out around mama's feathers, but they move so quick its often just a blur, thus the video. It always amazes me to see them climb up and in, and I though they just stayed underneath the hen when I started all this chicken stuff. Its amazing what you learn.
BTW, I'm so not good with photoshop, but if I were...

MSHen,
He is a Salmon Favorelle. A great breed, attentive and doting but not aggressive. He even helps take care of the peeps! Its not unusual to see newly roosting peeps huddled up under him in the coop a night.
