Which are the largest of the Marans?
Just wondering.

well, I have seen some really large Wheatens. Both hens and roosters. But the largest rooster I have seen was a Cuckoo. He belonged to Bayhorsebonne and I have never seen a rooster that large before or since.

Thanks I know with Orpingtons the Blacks and Blues are way bigger than the Buffs.

All varieties of Marans should be the same size. Read the Standard for weights, either under or over Standard weight is fault.

My Cuckoo Marans roo was HUGE.......he weighed about 15-16 pounds. Almost bigger than my Buff Orp roo.
