My dirtiest bird is my roosters favorite white silkie

On rainy days she is a mud pie thanks to him.

Our White Leghorns are by far the dirtiest birds.

My geese, hands down. They just adore drilling in the mud. I think all waterfowl could win this. They love being a muddy mess. The chicks don't even come close.

Best part about white leghorns moulting, they will do it just about the time it starts to rain, so they go take a "dust bath" in a pile of "clean" dirt and immediately walk out into the rain, staining their feathers for the next 12 months.

Nobody is too bad now, course I have dark colored birds (Buckeyes), but as chicks, my guineas were downright nasty!

My white silkie is pretty bad at times, but my whire EE's are by far the worst! Seems like they are always covered in mud..poo..whatever else they can get into!

Lady Grey, our white orpington, was always the dirtiest. We thought the rooster was causing this. He's been locked up for a month now, and she's still filthy. It can't be just because she's white, because our white rock is clean and white. I think Lady Grey just doesn't like her name. I now refer to her as a 'soiled dove', kind of like a madam named Lady Grey.
