Which baby chicks to buy?

I have been raising baby chicks for 2 years. I currently have none because I let them all free-range in my 4 acre yard. I realized there are too many predators! I did lock them up at night, but during the day is when they disappeared. I am going to keep all my chickens in the coop and run from now on. The run is 15x5 feet only, with a coop at either end. Until I enlarge the run, I need to know which bantam breeds are best kept enclosed in that area. I am only looking to get 4 chickens. Any help?

What ar you looking for in a bird? Good layers? Great pets? Broody breeds or not? I like bantam EEs, Cochins, Orpingtons, Wyandottes, Games....I could probably go on and on
