Ok so I know about Teflon poisoning, and im paranoid about it lol. The only place I can put the baby chicks is on the enclosed back porch, which is also where the propane griddle/grill is. If the grill got cooked on would it make the chicks sick? I know it's not an ideal place to put then but its literally the only spot lol🤣. There are 2 windows open on the back porch.

I would roll the grill as far away from them as you can get it if you cook on it. Put it near the door and use a fan to blow any fumes/smoke out the door.

Is their coop already built?

Your brooder setup is pretty good; elevated and well ventilated. But I would remove the lamp from inside the brooder and double secure it above the lid. I would also switch the red light out to a 150W ceramic bulb that does not emit light. That way they will have a normal circadian rhythm.

The chicks are going to outgrow that space in about 2 weeks. I would work double time to get their equally well ventilated coop finished so you can finish brooding them directly in the coop.

Gotchya, first time with chicks in about 7 years lol, my hens now are aging out of laying. There is a fan i can turn on out there when they use the grill and aim it at the door. Unfortunately we cant leave the back porch door completely open because of stray cats that try to get on the porch. The coop isn't build yet, I built the brooder yesterday and got the chicks last night 🤣, I did not take into effect the heat lamp when I was building it so I have to figure out a way to clamp it above it today , that was just a last minute temporary set up for the light, lol.
