Which bantam is better?

I want a clean legged bantam and I am going between OEGB or sebrights. Which is better? Any other breed suggestions?

I have had both and like both that you mentioned. Have you considered stilt legged moderns?

I haven't kept either of those breeds. Hopefully, somebody who has comes along soon and can help you out.

I keep Japanese Bantams... they are very cute and small... and have delicious eggs too. They come in so many colours and the roosters are usually very friendly. Make great pets if you get them when young or hatch them out yourself.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to our flock. I've raised several bantams breeds and I wouldn't recommend mixing any of them in a flock with regular sized chickens. I've tried to raise some of my bantams with regular sized chickens and ended up having to separate them into their own coop/run as they were taking a beating from the larger chickens. The only exception were our Polish (which also get picked on by other regular sized breeds because of their crests). My bantams and Polish got along just fine. My Pekins boss around my large breeds. They are gorgeous and friendly , they aren't clean legged though. I also had a bantam araucana who at one stage was the only bantam in a large breed flock. I think the trick is to either raise them together or add the large breeds before they are bigger than the bantams if you want them mixed
