Which bit of seed do your chickens find the tastiest???

Hi there everyone!

Just a bit of a fun post.

Which bit of seed do your chickens find the tastiest???
Mine seem to absolutely LOVE the sunflower seeds!
They squabble over them and gobble them up very quickly!

And is there a part of the seed they neglect?
Mine take particular care to avoid the pellets.

Also what breed of chickens do you own (in relation to the seed they prefer I thought it could be interesting to see differences!)

Well my silkies really just gobble up anything knowing them!
But yes, they do have a favourite Sunflower seeds!
I own quite a few different types of birds and all of them love those seeds the most.

And I think I know why!
They are the fattiest seeds of all!!

Mine really like corn. They prefer meat over anything though. Oh and grapes, peas, etc..

I feed barley, oats, corn, wheat and BOSS (black oil sunflower seeds). They also really like Millet and peanuts.

Thanks for that too! I don't think we've tried out peas or peanuts for our girls before!
I'll have to give it a go! (maybe a new favourite??)
And yes corn is also much loved among my hens.
