Which Brand is Best to Worm my Chickens?

I have decided to start worming my chickens. I searched a brand called Valbazen, but it was really expensive to order online and it wasn't at my local feed store. There were these other two brands there called Wazine and Strike Three. You put Wazine in their water and Strike Three in their food. Which would be better to use? Should I get Valbazen? Thanks in advanced!

This is my opinion, so take it for what its worth, but I would personally go for a wormer where each chicken is individually dosed rather than one that's added to the food or water. Some chickens eat or drink more or less than others, so some may be getting too much and some too little.
If your feed store didn't have the Valbazen, you might look for Ivermectin instead. It can be applied to the skin (typically under the wings) like a spot on treatment for dogs and cats. Its a little pricey as well, but that bottle will last you quite sometime. If the Wazine is your only option, and you absolutely must use it, then do what must be done. But it isn't necessarily the most effective treatment out there. This is one of those deals where you get what you pay for, and there is a reason the Wazine is much less expensive than the Valbazen and Ivermectin.

Safeguard liquid is a common one sold in most feed stores (does not get rid of tapeworms if those are a problem though). Dose .5 to .75cc for large fowl and .25 cc for Bantams with a syringe without a needle. Dose once then 10 days later. Worminator from Hake's Twin City is a good one too. It is pyrantel and is only one drop in the back of the throat for Bantams, and 2 drops for large fowl.
Wazine has been used so long, that resistance have been found to be more common with roundworms. That is all it is effective against; roundworms. It is always a good practice to not use the same dewormer continually. Stagger the use of particular wormers like Albendazole, Pyrantel, Fenbendazole, etc.

Strike III and Rooster Booster Triple action would be fine if you can get them to eat it. Like howfunkyisurchicken stated, individual dosing ensures effectiveness because you control the amount each bird gets. Good luck.
