My Australorps started laying just about 18 weeks. Not knowing the other two breeds as well, don't they all lay a similar egg? I would be watching for other signs of readiness like squatting behavior. Hopefully soon!

Temperment wise the buffs are much more friendly and curious. Any time i am in the coop they are the ones always underfoot. I have heard the australorps are derived from the orpingtons.

Agree my Brahmas are amazing and curious… always next to me and want to be petted…. They are however my last ones to start laying from the ones I raised… around 9 months I think
