Which breed is the softest you've ever felt?

Let's face it, some chickens have much softer feathers than others. So, which is the silkiest (besides the silkie ; )

My vote is going to the sussex!

My cochins have some soft fluffy feathers. They'd make a nice pillow!

I would probably agree about the Faverolles, because of all chickens I have ever felt - My Brahmas, hands down, are the fluffiest, most plush girls I have ever known! Especially their butts!

Reviving an old thread because I was thinking of starting a similar topic.

My vote is for Australorps! I've had Sussex, Orpingtons, Cochins, Marans, Silkies, Andalusians, Brahmas, ISA Brown ... no one is as soft as my Austrolorp hens ...

I only have three to choose from-Golden Comets, Easter Eggers and Buff Orpingtons. My two buffs are by far the softest-most fluffy of the three.

I had a Black Rock hen who had very soft feathering!

Barnevelders. They aren't fluffy, but they have really dense silk like feathers.
