This year we decided to start with a bunch of chicks, since last go around we only bought 4 and 3 out of 4 turned out to be roosters.
So headed down to Wilco and got 11 chickens, hoping most would be hens (as we are after egg layers only for my girls).
I purchased the following:
1 Polish Crested
2 Golden Laced Wyandottes
2 Cuckoo Marans
3 Araucanas (really wanting easter eggers)
2 Barred Rock
1 buff orpington

Now as time went on and these grew bigger, it was harder for me to tell which were which anymore. A few I can obviously, the polish and the buff, but the others started to throw me off.

I made this short story long, sorry, but basically I'd like to know what this cool white one is. Unfortunately, we just lost it today (it managed to flew up out of a 7 foot high run and the dogs got it). I am bummed because this chicken was really cool looking.
Can someone help to tell me what breed it is? We didn't get to find out yet whether it was a rooster or not, but I had my suspicions that it was. But the whole family really liked this bird's looks.
Any help telling me which breed in the list it was (or did something get mixed in the Wilco batch?)

Thanks, here is the only pic I got of it (it's the white one, we think it looked kinda like an eagle)

ah darn, really? that's a bummer, these were the ones we wanted. Guess i'll just have to hope it was a rooster, then I won't feel as bad losing it.
Guess I could always be on the lookout for someone selling an easter egger hen that looks like this
thanks for the answer

In my experience, black and white EEs are always male, sorry. Not sure you can find one like this that's a pullet.

wish i did, i thought the kids might have taken some more pics of them after i built the outside pen, but appears not.
that makes me feel a little better that it was most likely male. Although if it was, it would have been one I kept around since it was a beautiful bird.
It was very tall, taller than all the rest, and obviously decided the large 7ft high pen wasn't high enough, so probably confirms was male.

thanks for the replies everyone

It was an Easter Egger... and while not ALL black and whites are males, based on that ones color pattern it was a male.

This is my EE pullet

Can anyone tell me what kind of chickens these are? I might have better pictures if needed.

We are chick sitting this little one and I was curious to what kind of chicken she is? Love her coloring.

Looks to be (from left to right) Black Austrolorp, Production Red, Black Sexlink and a Barred Rock if they're all single combs?
