Which breed makes a better momma?

I have 2 RIR's a Leghorn and a Buff Minorca, and just got a Buff Orph roo.

Which one of the hens do you think might go broody and raise chicks?

Is there any way to encourage broodiness or should I look into getting a incubator to raise babies?

My hens are about 15 mths old and have never been around a roo before. They seem to like the new roo and he has certainly likes them!!

Well, I was gunna say a Buff Orp, but I guess not in your case.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about the others.

I may try to see if I can get one of the Buff Orph girls from these folks as well. Maybe that will make the Roo happier and in better disposition!
