I just spoke to the tractor supply store and they said that the black ones r black sex link Ameraucanas and will lay blue eggs.... Is it possible for an ameraucana to be a black sex link??

Never heard of a BSL Ameraucana cross. I suppose it is possible to do. But the chick would still be pea combed as that is dominant and the chick would get one copy from the Ameraucana parent.

Geez I'm getting annoyed.... It seems like no one act tractor supply even knows what they r talking about... They said they spoke to the manager and based on the paperwork, they are black sex link Ameraucanas..... Unless they "Americanas" which I believe is not the same as ameraucana? I am so confused

I don't like to bash on companies or make generalizations, but yours about tractor supply is unfortunately one of those "no s$#t sherlock" type of statements. They dont know what they are talking about usually. Not because they are bad people or dont care, but simply because they only know what they are told. "Garbage in garbage out".

Yea it's funny how I've owned chickens for about a yr and know more about breeds and traits than ANYONE working there. .. I think u should know something about chicks if u r going to b selling them.... I noticed the black chicks have slate legs
