Which breed of these would you recommend?

One of the reasons I acquired PR's was their cold tolerance, we don't get as cold here as you do, but our coop won't be electrified. I think I'd pick the Barred Rocks or Rhodies for that reason. The others may be cold tolerant as well, but I don't know.

Thanks for the good advice. Although I love the look of barred rocks, I think I'm going to stay away from them just because I've heard mixed things about temperment. Thank you for all the advice. I think we'll just have to go look at them and see who we fall in love with. I just wanted to make sure that none of these breeds were ones that everyone would say to stay away from based on our circumstances.

And Illia, I respect your love of the unusual, but just a regular old chicken is fine for us at this point.
