. i haven't ever had chickens before, and i'd like some professtional help, WHICH BREED SHOULD I GET!!!??? please click on this link: http://natureshatchery.homestead.com/Chicken_List.html and look at all the large fowl and help me which breed should i get, for your help on what charactoristics; i don't care about how much they lay, very friendly and don't mind being picked up, and that i can have for show. (i don't care about their cold/heat tollerance, i'm going to provide extra heating in winter. Thanks evrybody!

Wow! They really redid the site! I think you should get an Easter Egger or two, and maybe a Turken.

I'd click on the new website feature Breed Selection Tool...check all the things you want in a chicken and it gives you the best options as far as breeds. I tried it today...it's AWESOME and idiot proof... like I said I tried it today

i didn't see any breed selection tool on natures hatchery, i know there is one on mypetchicken, but it still gives me too many options

No, we have one here now... look up at the top of the page, under anouncements, see the red dots? that will take you right to it. Good Luck! BTW... silkies are cool birds, and you can show them too.

Good for showing: Cochins, brahma
Friendly: Buff orpington, brahma

personally, I would get brahmas or cochins. I wouldn't get turkens just cuz i think that they're ugly lol
