Yep! Standard Cochins are awesome! I have Blue and white cochins, and buff, and white orps. My cochins are the sweetest birds ever! Right now, Blue my cochin rooster is in a coop snuggling with 3 babie (9wks) polish! I would cry my eyes out if anything happened to him! And he's a pretty boy!

Australorps, Brahma, Easter Egger, Barred Rock, Orpington ( I would go with the Orpingtons, they are quite, friendly, lay well and are just a great breed to have.

) Jersey Giant, Polish, Sultan, Sussex, Wyandotte.

you've not met my Camellia and her crew! They're white orps, and I guess they missed the memo about not being a vocal breed! They get a cheer section going every day in the garage, and gonzo, the white orp rooster, stands on my back porch, facing the door and crows all day! my buffs are too bad though!

Oh they're super friendly, just super vocal also... The girls and the "cheer" section happens in the morning while they're laying eggs in the old doghouse.... they have 5 nesting boxes in the coop.. but they all love the old doghouse.. They get in there and fuss at each other to hurry up. Its a riot in the morning to watch! The kids call it the "chicken olympics" cause its always a race 100ft to the garage to get there first. We have a bo we call cheesepuff that will set in your lap and peep like a chick! Love'm They're great!
