Which breed?

Thanks, I was also told it was a female, I guess they had no idea and either did I.
I'm thinking about getting more pheasants if i can make a bigger pen for them.

No problem yea that is a male no doubt about it you can see by his plumage on his back and the red patch around his eye. That is a great idea!

I would like to try clipping the wings so I wouldn't need a covered run,
but that might be time consuming.
This guy has been free ranging for most of the daylight hours then I herd him back in the pen with the turkeys and guineas,
but he seems to resist much more

I have a perimeter fence around my property and many watch/guard animals to keep predators away, this would be a tighter fence inside probably near the center.
Or maybe a long narrow run with deer netting on top

That will not keep a hawk or an owl out.And don't forget those pesky raccoons that come out at night and your gaurd animals are sleeping.Raise them right with a covered pen and you will not lose them to any predator if your pen is done right.
In N.H.,Tony.

Yes, great advise.
I did loose a Peacock and Guinea when an owl decided to visit for a few days,
but it scared all of my other birds into the barn where they all sleep in the rafters now.
