We're thinking about getting a friend for an Easter Egger variety hen whose pal, the rooster in the pictures attached, had to go - due to local law.
I don't have a good camera, and this is all I have of him.
If anyone can suggest which hen breeds have similar coloring to this rooster and are also quite a docile type, I would be grateful!
Our Easter Egger variety is more of the gentle type.
Thanks!

Many thanks, TheOddOneOut!
I was wondering which types would go well with my Easter Egger variety.
Has anyone had experience with these types with their temperaments?
I'm looking for hen(s) that have a gentle one.
Thanks!

My Sussex is gentle as can be. Curious, incredibly intelligent, a great layer of cream colored eggs, and chatty and sweet.
I don’t own any of the other breeds, but I can vouch for the fact that all are known for being docile and sweet. Brahmas especially. Those are fluffy and cuddly. Sussex are intelligent and entertaining. Wyandottes occasionally can be bratty, but every bird is an individual.
Delawares are good layers of large eggs and have good temperaments.
