white leghorn. temperament depends on the individual leghorn. i've had leghorns that were skittish and unfriendly, but i've also had one that was extremely smart and would always go to the same spot to have me pick her up and put her back into the coop at dusk. although... she insisted on laying her eggs on a plastic ladder. which was pretty funny lol.
rhode island reds are noisy, maybe a bit unfriendly, but always great layers.
black sexlink are a cross, i guess a production hybrid, but i love them. long lived birds with great personalities, consistent layers.
i dont know why, but red sexlinks seem to be chock full of reproductive problems. they will lay good for a while, but then issues start to set in. i've always gotten daily big double yolkers from red sexlinks but i feel like that productivity wears them down overtime.
