Whatever happened to collies and labs?? Did someone decide we didn’t have enough dog breeds and start dreaming up more?

They’re good for herding/moving stock and general farm dogs but guarding they’re not really big enough and could get killed. Especially against wolves and bears. Enter LGDs also they’re an ancient breed just only “recently” got recognized outside their native country.

I do see your point though and realize it’s probably a joke so sorry just figured I’d explain anyway hahah most of the LGD breeds are quite old and more of a land race type dogs that didn’t get recognized outside their native countries till fairly recently.
