I have one. She has a puff on her head but it's minimal. She's a very nice lady so I do enjoy having her. She's a good mom too. As far as the look goes, I don't prefer the puffs on the heads at all.

In defense of the silkies:


Well, they're not a production breed, which is great because they probably won't fall over dead from an egg laying issue.

So are the chickens, and compared to the size of the bird laying them I'm quite happy with the egg size.

They molt?
Mine are always fluffy.
