I had to get rid of him. What happened to the pit?
Yeah, usually I get a good idea of what they're going to be like as adults by this age. She reminds me of Marmaduke. And she will. She’s only what? 3 1/2 months? That’s a tiny baby in dog years even though she’s a horse already![]()
Oh he was the one to run away with your sisterNo, you don't want that. This dane is scared of everything. He is two years old and still freaks out when the mailman delivers the mail to the box on their house. He goes to doggie daycare sometimes because my sister works there. And he is in the room with the little dogs because he is scared of the bigger ones. He once ran away at the family farm because he was tied to a chair and the chair collapsed. There goes this big ass dog, down the dirt road with the chair still attached to his leash. When the cows mooed, he almost had a heart attack
My LGD had my aussie by the throat at one point for just being sassy, if Prim got to the goats and touched them she wouldn't come out on the better end of that fight. She’s still just a baby and those things are fun for her. Don’t allow her access to the goats if she tackles them. Give her something to chew on besides your hands. I’m sure you’ve probably already thought of these things but just in case. Adolescence with dogs is ROUGH but she should calm down once you get through it. Of course, all dogs are different and she may always have a bit more energy than other Danes but she should at least settle and learn manners eventually. And I know it’s hard given she’s probably already full dog size but do try to remember that she’s still a little baby and not intentionally being bad. I think the key is monitoring her and not setting her up for failure which I’m sure you know but yeah.
aww sorryI had to get rid of him.
Kinda against my will, but I still had to consent so I feel like a jerk over it. He was my boy, and he was very confused when he had to leave me.

That’s good you know what works for her although you might find it more helpful to shove a chew toy in her mouth. Or do both. The chew toy thing really helped me lol I kept them in every roomMy LGD had my aussie by the throat at one point for just being sassy, if Prim got to the goats and touched them she wouldn't come out on the better end of that fight.
She's only aware of her size when she's using it to punish me. Besides that she's very klutzy
So far she hasn't killed anything and all her bad behaviors have gotten reprimanded. Every time she puts her mouth on my hand I slide it down her throat or push it to the back of her jaw until she tries desperately to spit me out. She hasn't bitten me in a little while, she turns to nip but won't do it. She also hates water, if I spritz her she hides like I've kicked her. So I know what works for her. And when she charges ducks she gets a facefull of hose water.
She's not big on praise, since she doesn't like me, but she loves treats so that kinda works. She's fully potty trained, but still too rambunctious to always be with me.
I just don't know what to do with all of her energy, since I can't take her on long runs and she doesn't like to play with me.
Aww I’m sorryYep.
Pressured me into getting rid of my dog but got themselves a big fat spastic chicken chaser
She's not mine to train but I'm still going to try to work with her. I can't have her ripping goats out of my arms anymore or chasing my ducks.
SameIt was for me until I got medicated.
I need to find her chew toy. She might've eaten it thoThat’s good you know what works for her although you might find it more helpful to shove a chew toy in her mouth. Or do both. The chew toy thing really helped me lol I kept them in every room![]()
Does she like trainingDoes she like training? You could try some obedience practice and/or trick training or maybe some scent work games? Mental stimulation is often far more tiring than physical. Especially for a little baby lol
The other dogs hate her guts. She won’t play fetch or play with the other dogs? She might like a flirt pole if she’s got such high prey drive. Brew loves his lol
Maybe, I've never once seen her put her nose to the ground thoEven just short walks where she gets to sniff things can be exhausting for dogs lol
