It's only recently that they've expanded into the USA. It's been my experience that some Americans who live closer to the Canadian border are familiar with the chain, but the majority aren't

They’ve been here a while, like at least 10-15 years cause I went to one in college and it was not new. But then again that was near Canada (northwestern PA) but still.

I know there have been some locations in the northern states for awhile, again because of proximity to the border. But bigger expansion didn't happen until more recently when Burger Kings parent company bought Tim hortons corporate.

But I've never met a southie who knew of timmies. Which is why I asked
