I never went back there ever. I went to a different hospital to have the catheter removed. That was fun to explain.
Yes, I make sure they always have it available to them. I also choose to give them veggies that are higher in calcium since shortly before they began laying. Idk how to give them more than I'm already giving them.Do your girls have access to oyster shell all the time? That is a soft shell egg and it means your girls need more calcium
At least you still have your balls though, right?Na. Just blew up my phone with nonsense about coming back and discussing it.

Could it be that 2 other pullets have begun laying and these are their first?

Their standard layer feed, and the rest of their diet changes daily because of the weather. I was told to not give them scratch during the heat, so I've removed that from the rotation until Wednesday. I give them: bananas, watermelon, all kinds of berries, pumpkin/sunflower seeds, baby leaf lettuce, cucumbers, swiss chard, beets, mealworm mixture (it's mealworms, beetles, and flies), crickets, and some bread or yogurt to help with phosphorus intake, and fresh cherries from our trees when they were available, and clumps of freshly cut grass on days that they're restricted to the run. Mind you, this list is not all given to them in one day. I break it up so they don't get bored with a treat, and so they're getting a nice mix of what they need. I don't do nuts yet because they don't like them; I'm waiting til they're older. I may be missing some things, and I didn't list anything that they get free ranging. What else do you feed them?
