I would love to see and make that happen in my lifetime.
I think we're optimistically 3 generations away. Humankind does not change voluntarily at a rapid pace. Am I a cynic? Yeah, totally. But that doesn't make me wrong.

That’s what they said 20 years ago.
The prosecution rests, your honor. :(

It's not as bad as it was mid 20th century (say 20-60's). Smoking is not glamorized like it was back then. and depending on what part of the country you're in it's not as prevalant. Most places have indoor bans on smoking, smokers lounges are more or less a thing of the past, etc... It's moving the right way, but it's going to take time.

As a child that grew up in the 80s in Northeast Alabama smoking was a pretty popular past time. It was weird though. Smoking among adults was normal as breathing but us kids were being brainwashed to believe smoking was bad. I just grew up during a magical transitional period.

It needs to move faster.

Similar in AZ at that time. RJR/PM were still pushing tobacco hard at adults but the gov'mint had come down on them for marketing to kids. remember candy cigarettes? You dont' find them at every corner store like you did back then. And bubble gum cigars, etc... Even big league chew bubble gum is scarce on the ground and so is that beef jerky snuff stuff they used to sell in the littlke round cans that looked like chew.
