Depends on the breed. Smaller yippers, the males seem more chill (except chihuahuas, they cray no matter what) Bigger ones it doesn't really matter, it's about the bond you form with them.

I've mostly just been around small dogs and I've noticed that too.
My female yorkie can be a bit much lol, though that could totally be the breed.

Most people I've asked have said that. I've never experienced that though, my boy was an angel.
