Oh, I know. I stopped counting after 33 killed the first three months we moved into the house. I let the first three go hoping the snake gods would smile on me. No such luck. They told all of them to come to my house. I didn't get a single egg for months. And birds as old as four months were being killed even though they couldn't be eaten. They know now. I saw two babies last year that I did relocate and two juveniles the year before that I did not. This skin is the first sign I've seen and one of the largest except maybe the first one. I didn't even have a hoe when we moved in. Their demise was much more unpleasant.

The little ones scootch into the house somehow. A garter is how I found my grandfather's gold and diamond ring that had gone missing. I don't mind the little noodles. I take them off to let them do their thing.

I don't know!!!!! I just mowed the yard and didn't see any snakes. I only saw one garter in the pasture. I've got way too many babies for there to be a snake that big slithering around. If I find it...well the snake won't enjoy it.
