I had a 19 yea old lhasa apso that fit that description. Ornery little brat. all 10 pounds of her bossed around both of our 140+ pound malamutes and ran the house. Her last act was to bite the vet hard enough with the 2 teeth she had left to draw blood, and then her heart gave out right there on the exam table. Her name was dustmop underfoot. We thought she'd live forever too.

I am! I went from not expecting anyone to now expecting people. Sigh...

My son and gf are coming now along with 2 of their friends, and got a text from a student who found herself suddenly homeless, so she's coming.

It's shocking how many of my students live truly horrible lives (although this particular girl is def better off homeless). I don't normally rescue them because I can't rescue them all. But I would if I could.

I'm amazed how many of our elementary students live in bad situations. Found out the other day that two of our students lived in cages for years

Salt is definitely high maintenance. I tore down my last aquarium once my last damsel died. That mean thing lived to be 9 years old. Went through electrocution (faulty heater), no filter for a whole week, and multiple intstances of no light in his life. I always told my mom he was too mean to die.

I loved my african cichlid tank. Would have another one again if hubby was ok with it. But all I have now is a 29 gallon, not big enough for africans. They are the prettiest fresh water fish
