I guess I don't really understand how 10 or so dinosaurs escaping into the wild (which happened last movie) results in world domination by the dinos lol. Are they gonna have a sub-plot where someone else is breeding dinosaurs and letting them free or something? They must.

I'm not sure we have time for that. lol

Firstly, there were way more dinosaurs than ten. You also have to include all the ones that were sold at auction before the incident at Lockwood Manor.

Secondly, Biosyn Corporation (Lewis Dodgson who hired Dennis Nedry to steal the embryos in JP) is a bad company. They've been trying to steal technology and things from InGen from the beginning.

Do you remember how all the embryos were taken of Nublar during the Jurassic World incident by Hoskins? All those dinosaurs are currently unaccounted for.

Until Mount Sibo erupted there were still many, many dinosaurs on Isla Nublar. See Camp Cretaceous for the evidence of that. Dinosaurs were being removed from both Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna by another company called Mantah Corp. It is theorized they have ties with Biosyn as well. They were also affiliated with Masrani Global.

Canonically in the novels, animals escaped to the mainland in Jurassic Park and were never recovered.

Biosyn has also been breeding their own dinosaurs for some time which explains all the new species not seen in the films so far (Quetzocoatlus, Therazinosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, Giganotosaurus, Atrocirpator, Pyroraptor, etc.).

I'm sure there's going to be a lot going on with the Legacy and JW casts in the same movie. Plus they are bringing in lore from the novels, and previous films, plus Camp Cretaceous on Netflix. I can guarantee there's going to be a lot of dinosaur action though. A lot of what's happening I've worked out for myself so it won't be a complete surprise. I watched the original trailer:

repeatedly to get over the shock and beauty/wonder of hearing Sir Richard Attenborough's voice in it. Jurassic World had me in tears when the original theme played as the ferry approached Isla Nublar. I burst into tears the second I heard his voice. So I needed to get that out of my system. Can't be doing that in theaters. lol
