Isn't water water? Just cause it's now coffee isn't the water still water. It didn't morph into something else did it?

Coffee is indeed a physical change. The actual act of roasting the beans however, is a chemical change. But once you actually dissolve the grounds in the water it’s just physical.

Ah no. I'm not drinking some magical instant crap where you dump it into the water and it disappears.
Mine coffee is water running through the coffee and coming out still in water form.
The grounds are still there and then thrown away.

That's instant coffee/espresso. Regular coffee grounds are ground-up coffee beans, roasted or not, and don't dissolve.
Coffee is pretty much bean tea.

The whole bean isn’t soluble, the grinds aren’t and that’s why that’s all that’s left… but the other part, what’s it called? Idk, that part is.
