Speaking of stoves, ours has an eye turning on by itself. Turning off at the breaker until we figure out what we want to do.

15 years. Maintenance check, as in, running diagnostic mode? Never. I replaced the oven element probably 6 months ago. It burned into.

We’re most likely going to switch to a gas range. My wife has wanted one for years. If the problem is the main control panel, which I’m guessing it is, that’s a $600 replacement.

We recently instituted a new Saturday night tradition. One of our neighbors loaned us their Little House on the Prairie DVDs so we're watching episode on Saturday nights and eat popcorn as a family. I'm making the popcorn right now!

I like that show. I used to watch it often, but not so much anymore. Maybe I should start again though.

A friend from church let me borrow a book of recipes that Ma makes while Laura was a child. I need to pick a few of the simpler ones and cook them with my oldest. I don't enjoy cooking at all, but I know my daughter would love it.
