Our local store doesn't have the watermelon flavor of kombucha. They've stopped carrying the cranberry flavor too.

But it's ok because I like my homemade stuff better!

My husband makes amazing kombucha. I tried to make several batches myself using the same tea, location, etc and it always tasted fine but never as good.

Same starter culture and scoby from his batch? Interesting.

Mine tastes a bit different in the different seasons. The change in temp and humidity is probably the reason, I'd guess.

Yes, everything was the same except the person that made it!
I mean, I must have done something different. I just couldn't figure out what it was.

Oh yeah, I would think that would make sense. Initially I thought it was because we had moved where we had let it ferment but then he made a batch after mine and it tasted like his normal.
