Yes. They're very nocturnal.
The squirrel was also supposed to be but mine was active a lot of day and anytime I opened the door for him to come out and play.

That would be like school getting canceled for snow in New York. Just wouldn't happen unless it was a blizzard.

Only time I can remember school ever being closed was this past Jan 17. We got 4 feet of snow over night. No one could make it to school if they wanted to! Lol

We had one snow day in 30 years here, only because it was -30 something and most of the students walk to school since we don't do buses below 5 miles away
