False alarm. When I went to check I found a fully formed dead chick under the shell. It must have died and she was eating it as to not infect the others or draw ants or predators to her location

Gorgeous! I'm glad that's it's something nice that makes you think of me and not something weird, like a dead bird or something! I tried one year to put callas in my flower bed but they aren't your typical bulb plant. They grew wonderfully but didn't last long
