So, if we look at it like that then she should say she has been 2 years, 11 months, and 11 days. I am not sure about the hours.

Did none of you do rounding in math? "not yet 3" is still 2 in round numbers. Now we could have the discussion about rounding up vs down, but if you can't have a driver's license 22 days early because you aren't 16, then you're 15. (or whatever the number is in your state)

Chickens are nasty, boring, and annoying things, it really stumps me how people can talk about them 24/7.
They have their moments, sometimes they're cute, and they do make eggs, but besides that I don't like them that much
