Not a lot going on around here on the chicken front. We're not adding any more mouths to feed for now.

You should let them fend for themselves. . It's the new cool thing to do. Get animals but don't feed them.

I would still be hatching if I could get the chickens to lay... sigh guess I'm waiting till spring.

Are you over heating your chicks? Keeping them too hot can make them feather in slower.

Do you know what coccidiosis is?
Have you ever had to treat a bird for it in the past? If the chicks came from a backyard breeder it's possible coccidiosis is an issue. Having it can screw up the way they absorb nutrition.

Is that raw fish?

Yes and no. If you let it sit in the lime juice overnight it kind of fake cooks it.
Sure as hell doesn't look raw when I make it.
And I have to leave the fish in the lime juice for no less than 24 hours.
