It has a very in-depth and complex plot.
Cool illustrations, too.
Definitely not something to read in one sitting, though. It would make a good bludgeoning weapon if you were so inclined.

Oh heaven almighty I just had a moment.

There was a bag of potting soil I'd forgotten about in my shed from last year and I thought, well maybe I can still use it. There was a rip in the bag and what looked like maybe some mold or something. So I started brushing away the weird stuff (with my gloves *ON* thank gawd) when suddenly the bag starts MOVING and a giant mouse leaps out of the bag RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE, landed on the shed floor and dashed around looking for cover. Yes, yes, I know it's just a tiny mouse, but it scared the living chit outta me. I made some rather peculiar noises as I danced around like a crazy person, got the hell outta there and slammed the shed door shut.

Reminds me of when I grabbed a snake when I was trying to get a handful of hay.
Not fun for my seven-year-old self to have the hay start wiggling.
