No. But I did butcher a Cornish X this morning who injured his leg.

My husband left around 5:30 this morning for a material run. I heard him leave the bedroom and then he came back, to kiss me goodbye, I thought. Then he pressed a small cold thing into my palm and it was a little chirpy toad. Here it is next to the duckling.

I don't eat toads.... Yet.
But yes, I think everything on the homestead with the exception of our dog and the cats are on the potential dinner list. I would even eat Angeline if I was really desperate, though that would be really sad.

Do you leave whole to rest or cut up?

I just stuck him in the fridge whole. I didn't weigh him, but he's not that large.
If processing a bunch at once we cut most of them up. That way, even if we're eating chicken frequently, I can make a lot of different types of meals with different cuts for variety.

Must be the extra thread. Started out as an exercise thread and branched into other types of self-improvement. Kiki made a PM so that they could talk about other stuff that they couldn't talk about in public but it caused the thread to die.
