The poor things wander into our yard usually. Or we find them down by the creek. Lots of wildlife down there and in the woods.
We found that big snapper on our way to town, though.
My husband actually found a turtle nest the other day! Tons of eggs shells everywhere. Looks like a great hatch.

Clearly, you have a princess buried on your property somewhere. Have you checked all the most inconvenient places? Under a rosebush, perhaps?
