My mom had a sign in her kitchen the whole time I was growing up that said "Martha Stewart doesn't live here. It's a good thing."
And I never understood it when I was a kid. Finally understand it now that I'm an adult

LOL My feelings about Martha have evolved over the years. Here's a scary thought for you though - I always knew my MIL was like, overly tidy or something? Kept the kind of house that just felt unattainable in some ways. And I mean, knowing her better now, not entirely true, but like as DH's new fiancee it was a little intimidating. Then I was watching a Martha special series on home making and she was teaching you how to fold your towels so they look pretty on the shelf? And I was like THAT IS HOW MY MIL FOLDS HER TOWELS! So no wonder I felt intimidated, because my MIL is in some ways basically Martha Stewart. No pressure! hahha
