What is your goal?

One of several is the heritage meat cross, and apparently the PLW over Light Sussex is a very old cross. I'm sure I could use a Welsummer too, at least to start, but currently I am sitting pretty at... Zero Cockbirds. Most likely I will have to enjoy building my layer flock first before I graduate onto the other.

No.. just don't like them. I've driven them, taken care of them.. but don't like them. When I was a kid I was sorta horse crazy but I've grown outta that. To top it off.. I hate goats and cows. Love to eat them (haven't eaten goat) but not my favorite critters.

Ooh! Or, I could still do the SLW instead of the Light Sussex and then any other red bird, like I was thinking Buckeyes, but idk if that is just too weird lol

I just think the Sussex probably have a nicer personality and I would likely keep more hens vs. if I had the Wyandotte male I might only keep a trio or whatever anyway. Time will tell...
