Ureter stent. When you get an impacted stone the uerter becomes inflamed and wants to swell shut. That means kidney can't evacuate, and bad bad things can happen. So they stent you to let it heal and keep things moving.

I'm trying to keep this as neutral as possible, if you need more google is your friend, but it's not awesome.
