All I ever picture in my head with the word bear are grizzlies. Nope! Too big and mean! I can stand in front of a black bear to guard my chickens (the one from a few weeks ago) but I'd rather they be far away from me to do their bear things. I have a long lens for my camera, and I use that to watch them.

The one from a few weeks ago popped out from behind the chicken coop while I was sitting in a lawn chair right in front of it. My chickies didn't even buck at it to let me know it was there! That mofo was HUGE! If it wasn't black, I would've thought it was a grizzly! I thought it was there for my babies, so I stood up and rushed to get between the bear and the run. Figured I could at least distract it so my babies could get back to the coop... But it just mosied on past and headed across the street with NG personnel after it.

Uh oh...this 'cuz my dad' doesn't sound good. I hope things are ok.

I am a firm believer that anyone can quit anything they want to quit. It is a mind game. You have to beat the mind game. You can do it!

At Christmas time I do it with a log of cookie dough. I eat it like a banana and listen to the kids all start screaming for cookies.

Ooh! I got one for ya! When I was 16 and fresh outta the nutter bin I went through a Target chugging gallons of milk! Those ones I didn't pay for... I just left the empties in empty spots in the toy department cuz they didn't have the Mega Bloks I wanted. (My parents ended up going through after and paid for all of them.)

You know, I'm not allowed there anymore... Not cuz the store says so, but because my household says so. I apparently have a fixation with lightbulbs. I always come home with huge boxes of them.
