I just saw my first raccoon ever. Now I am afraid for my chickens. So we jerry-rigged a redneck-style anti-coon slingshot device. The nesting box door is (was ) the only door without some kind of protection.

It's been like this for 2 days now, and it's aggravating.

. I don't need a vaccine for that disease, right? Some pumpkin seeds will help get rid of it?

It *is* where it belongs. Outside. But they won't go outside yet. I shoved some of them outside this morning. Even brought one right to the feeder. They all went right back inside. I'm trying to walk the line between not being too nice and not having them get dehydrated or starve out of stupidity

What was their setup before? Is this their first time seeing the great outdoors?
