I hear ya! I don't see how people do it. How they live in 50, 40 even 30 degree weather for extended periods like a week at a time.

Oh, in the winter we rarely leave single digits by the time January rolls around. But I am finding myself less able to stand even the 50s this year.

Years ago I moved to a sister's house in Kentucky with the intent to stay, get out of Louisiana. That lasted just under 2 years. Nope too cold. I did get the pleasure of experiencing what one would call "black ice" that was great.

Black ice is horrible. It's one of the leading causes of my state's winter deaths. The cold is fine if you are prepared for it; but I have been trying to dress in my summer clothes when the temperatures are calling for autumn clothes.
