I have one and I still built most of it myself. He "helped". Though he did do most of the metal roof of the big coop.. though I helped with that.

My hubby isn't at all a handyman. He can run a chain saw, cut wood, and do dishes. All 3 things I hate doing.

I'm so glad my hubby is. He is a jack of all trades. That's his job, he does building maintenance. So he can do electrical, plumbing, construction, hvac, works on cars...

That is how my dad is. I'm an only child so I learned to be a "handy man" from him. So I want concerned about finding a man who can do those things because I could. All I required was the ability to use a chainsaw. I wouldn't want any other man than my hubby.

My dad is the same way. And even though he had 6 daughters, he taught us to be handy around the house too. But I'm happy to hand those jobs to hubby now. I'm content doing the cooking and cleaning and helping hubby. We are redoing our upstairs and I never thought I would know how to install outlets and put up drywall! He's teaching our son too, which is cool because not a lot of kids are interested in that kind of stuff

You might win on a technicality. I built mine in 2013 for goats and then turned into a coop in 2020

And, my addition is finished. It really wasn't an addition, but just adding a run if you want to call that an addition. Then alterations to make it a coop.

So, Mare, don't feel too good. But, HEY, you probably won, so you can feel good about that
