I don't know why gentle parenting doesn't work on you. And absolutely not.

Speaking of sewing, my mom is a badass at it. Makes quilts for everyone in the family. Our wedding quilt and the dino one she made my son. She also used to make our clothes. And we got matching dresses with our dolls when we were little

My great grandmother and grandmother sewed quilts like that. I would not get one every year but I have several and some I have had since a small child. All of them since a teenager. I have 2 on my bed now and both my kids have claimed at least 1 a piece but they never got to meet their Great Great Grandma and their Great Grandma was past being able to do it when they were born. My Son will travel with one of the ones he claimed as his whenever we go on vacation.
